MDL Engineering Inc. is a professional mechanical engineering consulting firm. Based in Saskatoon, MDL Engineering was established and incorporated in 2014 to provide mechanical consulting services throughout Saskatchewan. The firm provides mechanical consulting services for all types of industrial, commercial, mining, and multi-unit residential facilities.
MDL Engineering’s primary areas of design expertise include: heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection, industrial ventilation, and dust collection. Design services are provided for all types of buildings, examples of facilities served to date include: restaurants, commercial rental units, tenant fit-outs, agricultural facilities, research facilities, day-cares, office buildings, condos, service garages, distilleries, warehouses, institutional facilities, churches, and mine facilities.
MDL Engineering predominantly provides mechanical design services, although additional specialty services are also available, additional services include but are not limited to: building technical assessments, construction inspections, sustainable (LEED) design, cost estimating, cost analysis for the implementation of energy recovery devices, and commissioning assistance.
The owner of MDL Engineering, Mike Larson, currently operates as the sole engineer. Mike is a mechanical engineer with ten years of experience in engineering design and project management. Prior to incorporating MDL Engineering, Mike gained all of his experience in Saskatoon based consulting firms, working on a vast range of commercial and industrial HVAC projects. Mike was born and raised in Saskatoon and formed MDL Engineering as part of a commitment to provide local engineering services with solutions addressing the specific needs unique to Saskatchewan.
